Le Meridien

Award-winning restoration and renovation of the historic Center City YMCA into a 200 room, four star hotel. The building was erected in 1907 and designed by famous Philadelphia architect Horace Trumbauer. Our work included renovating the swimming pool, gymnasium, and 5-story atrium. In addition, the new hotel facilities included a restaurant, banquet facilities and meeting rooms. SgRA’s treatment of the existing historic interior spaces, including the wood-paneled lobby, reading room with vaulted ceiling, and ornate auditorium, contributed to maintaining the integrity of the historic architecture.
