Stuart Rosenberg, RA, AIA, Principal
Principal and Founder Stuart is the driving creative force behind SGRA’s 35 years of successful practice in the Philadelphia region. His Building Code expertise, hands-on construction experience, and knowledge of architectural history help him find creative solutions to every design and permitting challenge our clients may face.
Stuart is a Registered Architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and holds certification with the National Council of Architectural Review Boards (NCARB). He is a LEED-Accredited Professional and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Architecture from Yale University.
An artist at heart, Stuart still prefers designing by hand. His passion for good espresso has led him to hunt down the most superior coffee maker on the market, to the delight of the whole SGRA team.
Justin Coleman, AIA | Director of Design
Justin earned his Master’s in Architecture from University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelors in Architecture with Honors from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo where he minored in Fine Arts and completed a year of study at Academia di Belle Arti di Firenze. He has spent the past 12 years working as a Project Designer on large complex buildings throughout the Eastern United States.
He believes in the capacity of the built environment to elevate physical and emotional well-being.
In his spare time Justin enjoys riding his vintage motorcycle, renovating his home, designing furniture, and making homemade wine.
Ola Alkudsi, Architect | Senior Project Manager
Ola’s over 20-year career began in her native Syria, where she graduated from Damascus University with degrees in Architectural Design and Environmental Design. Her broad experience has continued here in Philadelphia independently and with other established firms to include projects such single and multi-family residential, commercial, educational, and hospitality.
She not only brings her expertise in architectural design methods, aesthetics, and structures and materials to all of her projects, but also to undergraduate and graduate students in her role as Instructor of various Rapid Visualization courses.
Massimiliano Scarchilli, Architect | Senior Project Manager
A gifted designer with a passion for detailing and assembling materials and a refined sense of craftsmanship, Massimiliano has used his skills as a designer and his eye for intricate details to successfully complete complex projects requiring elaborate detailing and production quality control with both local and international teams.
As SgRA’s lead designer, Massimiliano has developed his design aesthetic using experience from a variety of projects, including commercial retail, historic renovations, residential buildings, and interior work, and is known for his impressive proficiency in 3-D modeling systems.
Massimiliano was raised in Milan, Italy, and attended high school in Brussels, Belgium. He completed his studies in the United States, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Temple University. He has been with the firm since beginning his student internship in 2000. Massimiliano is fluent in English, French, and Italian.
James Conners | Project Manager
James is a designer who enjoys sharing his Revit skills with others. He has a passion for finding efficient ways of taking on design problems, leveraging the 3-dimensional nature of design software and resolving complicated code questions.
He volunteers periodically at a number of Philadelphia based non-profit groups, taking part in projects that make design more accessible to others. James earned his Bachelor’s in Architecture at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, and he enjoys spending his free time borrowing other people’s dogs.
Eglantina Haxhiu | Architectural Designer
Eglantina’s career began in her native Albania, where she graduated from Polis University with a degree in Architecture and Urban Design. In Albania, she worked as an Assistant Architect on Magnet designed by Daniel Libeskind and focused on residential design.
In Philadelphia, she focused on Residential, Educational, and Commercial projects expanding her oeuvre to include Interior Design.
Eglantina spends her spare time restoring furniture, crafting, and enjoying the fleeting moments of childhood with her daughter.
Alexa Bachinsky | Architectural Designer
Alexa is a thoughtful designer with particularly strong space planning skills. She uses her creativity, attention to detail, and experience in all phases of design to tackle the complexities of designing and coordinating some of our largest projects.
Alexa graduated from Pennsylvania State University with her Bachelor of Architecture and from Temple University with a Certification in Interior Design. She especially enjoys working on historical and adaptive reuse projects, fueled by her passion for architectural history, which she explored while studying abroad in Rome, Italy at The Pantheon Institute.
Bar Levy | Architectural Designer
Bar earned both his Bachelor and Master’s in Architecture from Tyler school of Art Architecture in Temple University. Bar is passionate about the experiential aspect of architecture. With a strong skill set in 3D visualization and modeling, Bar brings projects to life through crafting video animations and renderings. As a result, Bar Brings creative energy to his role in SgRa. Bar is engrossed and well-versed in the relationship of man, nature and sustainable design. Bar incorporates his passion by including green spaces in his designs. Bar enjoys the challenge of designing fit transitions from public to private. Prior to his career in architecture, Bar lived in Israel and served the Air-Force for three years. In his spare time, Bar enjoys painting, making music and snowboarding.
Hannah Rosenberg | Director, Operations + Marketing
Hannah combines a love of design and list-making to help optimize our operations and leverage our team's array of skills and talents. Drawing from her experience in finance, brand marketing, interior design, product development, and user experience design, she takes a holistic approach to business management, guiding us towards constant improvement of our systems and practices so that we can best serve our clients and achieve our business goals while supporting our team in achieving both work-life balance and their professional goals. Hannah returned to Philadelphia in 2019 from the northern wilds of Buffalo, NY and has loved diving fork-first into the city’s bustling food scene. She balances her eating habits with hikes with her partner and their dog, Sammy, even if their most frequent destination is South Philly’s Italian Market.
Sabrina Reissman | Office Manager
Sabrina is an administrative professional originally from Wilmington, Delaware who enjoys being a calming influence to those around her.
She moved to and fell in love with Philadelphia while receiving her B.A. in Public Relations from La Salle University in 2013. Sabrina leverages her administrative expertise along with her nannying experience to keep SgRA's office and team organized and supplied with wellness essentials.
When she isn't befriending the employees of L+I to help further the projects at SgRA, she works tirelessly to optimize the working environment and continually improve sustainable practices. Sabrina is a passionate home cook and crafter, and moonlights as a DJ during the weekends with her partner.
